There's so much to do in this multi-purpose Sherbrooke park. In summer, choose to hike its vast network of wooded trails. You can do a 15km loop if you decide to hike along the south and north sides of the Magog River. Enough to keep you active!
On hot summer days, cool off in the Magog River at Lucien-Blanchard Beach—there’s nothing like open water to help you beat the heat. Or would you rather stay on the water - not in it? Rent a watercraft at the Club nautique de Sherbrooke : kayak, pedal boat, paddleboard, canoe... there's something for everyone.
Sherbrooke has no shortage of golf courses . Each one is greener than the next, offering breathtaking landscapes. Escape to nature for an 18-hole round.
One of the region's favorites, the Club de Golf Sherbrookewhich will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2027, is located right in the heart of the city, making it really easy to get to (it's a 7-minute drive from OMG Resto. Really, it's that close!).
Hiking enthusiasts, do we really need to introduce you to the trails of the Eastern Townships? You’re probably familiar with the 200 km of trails that cross the region, offering a wide range of challenges. The Sherbrooke section of this vast network connects Réal-D.-Carbonneau Marsh to Debonair Park, and continues all the way to Chemin du Sanctuaire. The trees provide welcome shade on hot days, and birdsong makes the walk even more enjoyable. This easy trail is great for getting kids started with hiking.
Bike time? Let’s go! The Grandes-Fourches loop offers 54 km of scenic, mid-level cycling along the Massawippi, Saint-François, and Magog rivers. Departing from Lucien-Blanchard Park, we recommend riding counterclockwise—it’s just more fun! A mix of paved bike paths and road sections, the Grandes-Fourches Loop is a fantastic way to enjoy the ride while taking in breathtaking scenery.
Feeling a little (or a lot) hungry? We’ve got a great meal and a refreshing drink waiting for you at OMG Resto.
